Meet Annya Sedakova-Bertram

Annya Sedakova-Bertram

I came to the US in my teens from Ukraine, bringing with me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, languages, and a curiosity for global dynamics. This passion for cross-cultural understanding guided me to pursue a degree in International Relations. During this time, I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Beijing, China, immersing myself once again in a new country and cultivating my skills in navigating intercultural communication challenges.

Early in my career, I entered the localization industry somewhat coincidentally. Over time, I grew and advanced within the field, ultimately leading and managing a team of localization program managers across South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific for Fortune 500 companies. It was during this journey that I gained invaluable expertise in driving a result driven multimillion-dollar localization program.

Throughout my career, I observe common mistakes made by companies when it comes to localization. I learned that localization is more than translation; it encompasses cultural and business adaptation, market positioning, and customer engagement in a local language.

This understanding was reinforced by a recurring sentiment I encountered while speaking with colleagues from around the world:

"We cannot sell what people cannot read."

Having witnessed firsthand how overlooking these crucial aspects can hinder a company's global growth potential, I am passionately dedicated to helping software companies unlock the true value of localization.

You will gain access to a consultant who has navigated the challenges of language and cultural barriers and who is committed to bridging the gap between translation and comprehensive localization strategies. You will develop a localization strategy that drives business growth, increases customer engagement, and frees up valuable time for your in-country teams to focus on what they do best—building relationships and growing your business in their respective markets.
